Application Steps for Alternative Loans

Please read and follow the instructions in this section very carefully in order to understand both how the alternative loan application process works and what steps you are required to take during application. 

Applying for Summer Aid

If you are enrolling in Summer term and would like to receive loans and/or Federal Work-Study (based on eligibility), you will need to complete the FAFSA and the UChicago Summer Aid Application. Please find more information on applying for summer aid here.

Financial Aid Notification

After reviewing and processing your application, we will send you an award notification by email. The letter will list the type of funding, the amount(s) you have been offered, and the quarters in which the funds will be available to you. Learn more.

Priority Deadlines and Application Processing Timeline
